Clean Air Tampa Bay is a project to construct the first regional climate action plan for the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Completing this climate action plan will allow us to predict trends of greenhouse gases, predict project effectiveness, and integrate it into the communities in an appropriate fashion.

In March 2024, the Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) was published as a preliminary analysis focused on high-priority emission areas. This is being expanded to create a Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP) that investigates all sources and sinks in the MSA. The CCAP will include reduction targets, reduction measures, workforce analysis, and a benefits analysis to provide an image of where the MSA is and where it needs to go to meet its near- and long-term reduction targets.
